Project Life
My 2010 : 365 : Project Life is coming along nicely. I attempted to do this in 2009 with the photos I posted on Flickr and after completing one month’s worth of photos, I was exhausted and overwhelmed. Part of the problem was waiting until the end of the month to print my photos. I used the We R Memory Keepers 6-up page protectors for the entire month and wasn’t really satisfied with the overall look. So, project 2009 : 365 came to a halt. I continued to take photos just to post on Flickr.
Here’s a look at my attempt at 365 : Project Life (using the the GT Kit) in 2009:

Earlier this year, I ordered Becky Higgin’s Project Life and have really enjoyed the process of documenting my everyday life — from the mundane life chores to exciting trips. I got into the routine of uploading my weekly photos to Costco, submitting my order on Friday (although my week doesn’t start until Sunday), picking them up on Saturday, and inserting them into my book that evening. I don’t take the time to record my thoughts on the cards each day, but I write them on a post-it note (and on Flickr) for when I have more time. The pockets are perfect for inserting receipts, business cards, notes, etc, so I find myself inserting them in the appropriate page protectors as I go. It is so easy to keep up and I’m really enjoying the process.
Here’s a look at what I have so far: Title Page

Week 01 : February 14 to February 20, 2010 : Left Page

Week 01 : February 14 to February 20, 2010 : Right Page

Week 02 : February 21 to February 27, 2010 : Left Page

Week 02 : February 21 to February 27, 2010 : Right Page (Autographed by Astronaut Chris Hadfield!)

Week 02 : February 21 to February 27, 2010 : Left Page (Letter from the District Office re: Teacher of the Year Nomination)

Week 02 : February 21 to February 27, 2010 : Right Page

Week 03 : February 28 to March 06, 2010 : Left Page

Week 03 : February 28 to March 06, 2010 : Right Page

That’s all I have time to share for now. I’m sick and am feeling exhausted again. I’ll share more pages tomorrow when I can take better photos. Thanks for looking.

Love it! I think next year I will just get the binder and pages and have at it…not feel so stuck with all the stuff that comes with the kit. Can’t wait to dig and see more of your pages.

Just wanted to let you know I’ve enjoyed your process of using the divided pages, whether in 365 or Project Life format. I’m tackling this approach and have ordered the kits. Feel it’s really working for me. I’m looking at others styles and stumbled on your blog. Really enjoy your use of papers and journaling and just enjoying where you are, even if the project has to stop or sit. Thanks for sharing! Linking you up at my blog.

Absolutely fabulous! Love the creativity (and seeing pictures of Jim-I don’t see those very often!)
Can’t wait to start mine. So, you upload photos to Costco each Friday, pick them up on Saturday…and do your past week on the weekend, Right? Sounds do-able.
Keep showin’ your pages!
