Scrapbook Challenge : Why I Scrap
This challenge was hard for me, especially the journaling piece. Here’s a look at what I came up with (using bits and pieces from the GT March Kit).

Journaling :
I scrap to tell stories –
To tell my story,
To tell his story,
To document our story,
To remember my mother’s story,
To record my father’s story,
To reminisce childhood stories,
To document the stuff that makes us, us.
I scrap, simply for me –
To showcase my photos,
To express myself,
To give myself the freedom to play,
To relax, escape from reality,
To meet new friends,
To reconnect with friends from afar.
I scrap for the future –
To connect to the past,
To continue family traditions,
To make new ones,
To show how things once were.
I scrap to tell stories –
To log my travels,
To document my runs,
To share funny stories,
And sad ones too,
To celebrate life.
I scrap, simply for me –
To leave my story.

Laura – I love the pennants! I have been noticing it everywhere — especially when in LA a few weeks back. I love the photos!

Journaling: I enjoy the creative process. The paper, paint & trying new techniques. I love to write. I Love to tell the BIG and little stories of our lives. I love that I have recorded our routines & celebrations & our blessings. When my children read these stories years from now, I hope they will think of them as love notes…that I cared enough to write them down. But one reason I love to scrapbook is purely selfish…years from now, I just want to remember.
Zarogina – I love the mixture of letters that you used here! And I’m totally envious of the sales receipt that you saved — actually, I’m impressed that you’re able to find it to use in a layout. I save stuff all the time but things sorta get buried and they hardly ever make it to a layout.

Journaling:

Felicia -I am jealous of your scrap space! Looks like you have lots of room to spread out and ultimately make a huge creative mess!

Jouraling: I like to create, have fun, relax, and just be me. Most of my pages are of my kids and adventures and creating a legacy for years to come. That is why I scrap.
Thanks for sharing your layouts. Looking forward to seeing what you ladies come up with next. I’ll post the next challenge by Sunday (April 11) evening.
