Good times in Oregon.
I just returned from a mini-vacation to Oregon. Here are the highlights of my visit:
- Tried new restaurants with Thao and Marsh. I ate plenty of great food (ate enough to gain ten pounds — this is according to Marsh’s scale — which is absolutely inaccurate!).
- Watched 27 Dresses. Totally entertaining and predictable chick flick.
- Hung out with my gal pal Laura for two days!! Loved the girl-talk. Laura, thanks for the stories and memories!
- Took classes at CKC-Portland — we weren’t too impressed with the classes that we signed up for.
- Bought way more paper than I needed. Laura and I agreed that that the paper and supplies that we picked up were not a NEED — it is more of a WANT.
- Went to a basketball game where I was the only Asian in the stadium.
- Watched a sweet 10-year old girl dance during half-time.
- Hiked in Silver Falls State Park. Soaked in the fresh air, awed at beauty of the falls and thoroughly enjoyed the company.
- Learned to make Chinese Chicken Salad.
- Devoured an oyster omelet and scones at brunch.

Thank you Laura, Bill, Ellie and Derek for welcoming me into your home. Love you guys.

yes, yes…I checked your blog this evening and was not disapointed! Sorry the storage thing was not what you had hoped….what a bummer. I was surprised that you were the only asian at the ball game…I hadn’t noticed.
We had a great time….love that you fit in so well with the family, taking time with each one of us. You are a special lady!
