Family + Friends

J & C are visiting from LA. Yesterday, we drove to Stockton for lunch with my mom & sister.

J taught me how to make French onion soup (one of my favorites).

Going Home.

If you haven’t seen Going Home, Hung’s award winning film, you can watch it here.

Dad.

The freezing temperatures and snow in Lucerne Valley made it difficult for my dad to stay at the monastery there. With the approval of the head monk, dad got permission to transfer to a warmer location in Southern California. He is now living in a town (instead of the desert with one gravel road in [...]

Miss you dad.

Pink Flamingo

Although it has been crazy busy around here, I found some time to make this holiday card for a friend who loves flamingos.  I absolutely love the way it turned out!

Holiday Project: Cards

Made 72 cards in two nights for friends and family.  You can’t see the gnome card very well on the right, but I totally love the gnome dude.
J and I were driving down the street the other day and saw a gnome raking leaves in the rain.  Ok, so he wasn’t really a gnome dude, [...]

Oh Christmas Tree

It has been a busy, but exciting weekend around here. I bought my first REAL Christmas tree today!

We went to the tree lot and picked out the perfect 4 1/2 ft Noble Fir. She is lovely and currently sitting in my living room with two ornaments. This is really my first tree [...]
